The fact that Sarileru Neekevvaru had a significant portion of his style comedy ensured that he had to go back to Senior stars after that.
Ravipudi seems to have identified the issue and attempted something different with Bhagavanth Kesari.
Unlike his previous films, the focus is fully on a story driven by emotions.
There are instances where the work of the directors often gets overshadowed by the stardom of the actors. But with Balakrishna and this kind of film, Anil will definitely get his due credit if he delivers a hit.
The Tier-1 heroes these days have become very ambitious. We have seen them choosing directors outside of Tollywood as well. Anil Ravipudi has to deliver a big hit with Bhagavanth Kesari and prove everyone wrong.
He should make a statement that he is something beyond those comedy films. Only then, the Tier-1 heroes will take him seriously and opportunities will come his way.
