BO: 35 Cr Budget, Not Even 50 Cr Collection?

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Bollywood made a late surge last year with multiple blockbusters like Animal, Jawan, Pathan, and Gadar 2. But sadly for them, 2024 started on a weak note with the much-hyped War 2 underperforming, and now, the latest release Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also starting very poorly.

Oddly, the release of this Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff got postponed by a day in view of the weak advance bookings on day 1. But despite this tactic, the film is stuttering big time at the box office.

If the weak buzz and lack of public interest itself aren’t detrimental enough, the film has opened to poor reviews, which is making matters worse.

There are reports that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan could end up as one of all time disasters in Indian cinema as there are a few Bollywood media publications saying the film was made on a budget of Rs 350 crore and it might end up collecting less than Rs 50 crore in theaters.

The multi-starrer is facing such existential crisis due to the weak trailer and promotional material thus far. The Bollywood audience were least interested in this “Save India” themed Bollywood actioner, a genre that had been beaten to death.
