Adipurush has opened on a strong note at the box office but now, there are gusts of negative winds surrounding the film. The other day, there were riots in Lucknow by a group that claimed Adipurush defames Ramayan.
Cut to now, All Indian Cine Workers Association has written a letter to the prime minister, Narendra Modi, asking for a ban on Adipurush’s theatrical screenings and later on OTT.
In the letter, it is mentioned that the screenplay and the dialogues in Adipurush are demeaning and they belittle the holy spirit of Ramayan. They also add that the holy lord Shri Ram hasn’t been shown in a sacred enough manner in the film.
Not just the ban on the film, the association is pushing to file an FIR on the team that is associated with the film.
“An FIR should be filed on the director Om Raut, and the producers and writers for belittling the holy Ramayan. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon shouldn’t have been a part of this film” it is mentioned in the note.
The fact that cine workers association, an integral part of Indian film industry itself is pushing for a ban on Adipurush has become a hot topic.
