Bhansali’s OTT Flop: One Actress Bears Most Blame

Sharmin Segal

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new series, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ just landed on OTT, sparking some pretty strong reactions. While a few folks are digging it, the majority seem to be hating it, branding it as Bhansali’s weakest work yet.

Despite the lavish sets, stunning visuals, and cinematic flair, ‘Heeramandi’ is being labeled as a snooze-fest. None of the performances are standing out, but one actress, Sharmin Segal, who happens to be Bhansali’s niece, is bearing the brunt of severe online criticism for her horrible acting.

Those who watched Heeramandi on Netflix are calling Segal’s acting expressionless and a total disaster, suggesting that her casting was a significant misstep by Bhansali.

Many used to trust Bhansali would always choose talent over nepotism until they saw Sharmin Segal who ruined the whole damn Heeramandi.

People are applauding Madhuri Dixit, Aishwariya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and Alia Bhatt (previous heroines in Bhansali films) after watching Heeramandi getting butchered by Sharmin.

She single-handedly ruined whatever good was there in Heera Mandi.

It is safe to say that Sharmin Segal is easily the most trolled actor in recent times. Sadly, her career ended even before it took a proper start.
