After a critically acclaimed film like ‘Grahanam’, film maker Indraganti Mohana Krishna got a super successful film ‘Ashta Chamma’ starring Nani. However, he couldn’t continue that success and his next three films landed as flops.

“After a big disaster like ‘Bandipotu’, I wanted to take bigger risk”, says the director talking about why he chose a subject like ‘Gentleman’ in which the plot is very complex. The best way to come out of a flop is to take bigger risk. “Pushed the envelope a bit more”, agrees Indraganti.
The risk lies in the fact that “It’s an odd kind of mixture, romance mixed with thriller elements. The romance is nicely intermingled with the narrative but slowly turns into a thriller,” he talks about the risk in creating the transition from romance to thriller elements. Is the risk worthy it? We’ll have to wait till this Friday.
