Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar tanked big time at the box office right on its second day. The movie may not even collect 30 Crore Share in its full run and it will be less than Acharya, Chiranjeevi’s biggest disaster in recent times.
What is the reason for this disaster? – Partly Chiranjeevi and partly fans who fed him with wrong feedback.
After Acharya, Godfather got decent talk and reviews but the audience rejected it completely since it is a remake.
And then came Waltair Veerayya which is the biggest issue for Chiranjeevi.
The movie has got mediocre content and cringe elements. But then, the season impact, the competition, the emotional part in the second half, and a second hero advantage helped the movie big time.
Since the openings are good and there is competition, Mega fans embraced it with both hands and tomtom about it. The talk they generated here got converted to overseas talk as well and the movie collected around 2 Million Dollars there as well.
Websites and critics do not take into consideration the impact of festivals or anything in reviewing a film. The movie with mediocre content and cringe elements was rated accordingly. It was supposed to be feedback for Chiranjeevi.
Fans celebrated the film as if it is the kind of content they want from Chiranjeevi. Even the Megastar was seen saying we cracked 2 Million with 2.25 Ratings. That underlines the impact of the wrong feedback of fans to Chiranjeevi who was speaking the language of fans.
The commercial success due to the above factors besides Chiranjeevi’s pull further blinded the Megastar.
As a result, Chiranjeevi was made to believe that the cringe comedy is what the audience and fans are expecting from here and the result is a Bholaa Shankar.
Blinded by the commercial success and the feedback from fans who were only focused on winning over Balakrishna, the message to the Megastar was lost and as a result, we have a Bholaa Shankar.
It’s time for Chiranjeevi to wake up at least now. If fans and the star throws all the blame on Meher Ramesh and ignore the actual message, we will continue to get cringe content but from better directors going forward.
But all the films necessarily do not have the advantages of Waltair Veerayya and we may see a repeat of Bholaa Shankars more often than not.
