Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt was convicted under the Arms Act in 2013 for 1998 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case killing hundreds of innocent people and got 5 years imprisonment for possession of deadly arms like AK-56 rifles and others supplied by underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
As the superstar already spent 18 months in jail earlier, he is undergoing imprisonment for the remaining period. But Sanjay Dutt didn’t confine himself to jail walls totally. Occasionally he came out on parole sometimes and on furlough (leave of absence) sometimes to spend time with family. Once again the superstar got furlough for a period of fourteen days to spend this Christmas with family.
The superstar made use of the right of the prisoners to take leave of absence every year. Till date Sanjay Dutt spent more than 118 days out of jail during his imprisonment time. And there had been many allegations that Erawada Jail Authorities have been showering extra benevolence on the actor. Let’s see whether he would get a leave extention this time around also.
