Devara Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva and featuring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, experienced a notable drop in box office collections on its first Monday after a strong opening weekend.
The film debuted with an impressive Rs 90 crore gross in India but faced a decline of over 50% in collections on Saturday. It showed a slight recovery on Sunday, largely due to the performance of the Hindi version.
However, Devara Part 1 struggled to maintain momentum and collected only Rs 13.50 crore gross on Monday. The Hindi version appears to be holding better compared to the Telugu release.
On the international front, the film grossed approximately USD 7.25 million in its opening weekend, with over USD 5 million earned on the first day alone.
The film is now projected to end its international run with around USD 9 million which is not a good result after such a fantastic opening.
Fortunately for international distributors, the rights were sold at reasonable rates, ensuring profitability.
