Popular yesteryear writer and music director Devi Sri Prasad’s father, Satyamurthy breathed his last a short while ago.

He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in the early hours of today in Chennai and succumbed to it. His final rites will be performed there this evening.
Satyamurthy worked for about 100 films. Out of which majority are of Top Stars and Super hits. He rose to fame with Devatha movie and penned many blockbusters like Pedarayudu, Abhilasha, Satruvu, Khaidhi No. 786 and others. He retired from films a long ago but his sudden demise casts gloom all over the industry. May his soul rest in peace.
