It is Dil Raju Vs Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna at the box office this Sankranthi. As things stand today, the situation is going to be bad for Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy in the stations where there are single theaters or double theaters.
In most such theaters, Varasudu will occupy one. If there is a single theater, then there is no chance of other movies releasing. If there are double theaters, one will be for Varasudu and the other theater will have to be shared.
If that is the problem with smaller centers, among big centers, Vishakapatnam and to some extent, Hyderabad city will be a problem for Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.
In Vizag city, Varasudu is going to have six theaters, and Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy will get four each. This is so unfair to both the stars.
Further, Varasudu is going to get the best screens of Vizag like Sangam, Melody, and Sri Kanya.
But at least, Balakrishna will get something better as on the first day i.e., on January 12th, his film will get released in eight theaters.
Waltair Veerayya when it releases on the 13th will have Varasudu and Veera Simha Reddy already in theaters and will only release in four theaters on its first day.
Even for Balakrishna, it becomes unfair from Day 2 when compared to Varasudu holding six theaters irrespective of the competition.
Dil Raju’s camp, however, says it would have been all fair if Mythri only had one release with that film holding eight theaters. They are reminded how never in history, have there been two releases for Sankranthi from the same production house.
