Dil Raju is set to remake the 2019 Telugu blockbuster “F2: Fun and Frustration” in Hindi. The director of the original film, Anil Ravipudi, will also helm its Hindi adaptation.
Dil Raju aims to capture the comedy’s essence and believes it can entertain audiences across languages. The Hindi remake will feature two prominent actors from different generations, similar to the Telugu version.
While discussions have begun with a young actor from the Hindi film industry, the formal casting is still in progress. An official announcement is expected soon.
Dil Raju already burned his hands in making the remakes of Jersey and HIT in Hindi. Those films didn’t even collect a Rs. 10 crore share. And now he is attempting one more remake and that too the remake of F2 which has been already widely watched in its Hindi dubbed version on YouTube.
F2 luckily worked for that time in 2019 and it doesn’t hold much relevance today. The audience has clearly moved on from such genre comedies.
Dil Raju is already facing challenges with his project “Game Changer,” which only god knows when it will be completed. In these tough times, going for the remake of a not-so-exciting film like F2 in Hindi might just add to his troubles.
