Director Surya Kiran, who was known for films like Satyam and Dhana 51, passed away earlier today in Chennai. He was 51. Reportedly, Surya Kiran passed away due to jaundice.
Surya Kiran entered the film industry as a child actor. He worked in over 200 films as a child artist. Later, he made his debut as a director with the 2003 film Satyam, featuring Sumanth and Genelia. It was a super hit at the box office.

Surya Kiran was formerly married to actress Kalyani (Avunu Valliddharu Ishtapaddaru fame). They got divorced. Surya Kiran’s sister Sujitha is a popular television actress.
