Unemployment had been one of the major concerns in the Indian society for a really long time now and things are not looking promising at this point in time either.
It is being reported that there are a total of 8.7 crore Indian youth who are currently without jobs, are not even focussed on creating adequate employment skills of their own.
Apparently, this section of 8.7 crore Indian youth aged between 15 to 29 are not even qualified at the basic level for an employment opportunity. This report says that they do not have adequate skills to be employed and neither are they showing any interest in upskilling.
When the youth of the country is not showing any interest in employment skill generation, learning new trends and techniques, that particular generation is doomed. This is not going to reflect well on India as a country either.
In this current market, it is extremely tough to get decent job even with a reasonable skill set due to the prevailing effect of the artificial intelligence on the job sector. To make matters worse, a significant portion of the Indian youth are not even trying to get employed at this point, and that is extremely concerning in nature.
The existing talent pool has been looking to leave India and travel to developed countries like the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom while the rest is not looking to enhance their skills. If that is the case, then India could be witnessing problematic times in the days to follow.
