Nandamuri Balakrishna, fresh from the success of Anil Ravipudi’s Bhagavanth Kesari, is gearing up for his next venture, tentatively titled NBK 109.
Directed by Bobby Kolli, whose last film Waltair Veerayya was a blockbuster, this project has been anticipated by fans. The excitement reached a fever pitch as the official shoot for NBK 109 began yesterday.
Initially eyeing Anirudh as the music composer, the makers had to let go of him due to his busy schedule. Instead, they’ve chosen Devi Sri Prasad (DSP). DSP is on an upswing, having recently won a National Award for his work on Pushpa. His renewed zeal and passion for upcoming projects make him an exciting choice for the film.
This collaboration marks the second time Balakrishna and DSP will join forces. Their previous venture, the 2014 film Legend, boasted popular music and rousing background scores that added immense value to the film.
The presence of DSP adds tremendous technical value to a Balakrishna film. With DSP on board, NBK 109 will get the attention needed.
The film is set against the backdrop of the 1980s and promises to be a high-octane mass entertainer. The production team aims to wrap up shooting by April 2024 and is planning for a May 2024 release.
