Another announcement that was expected after the massive 2.0 reshuffle has come. It is regarding another Superstar Rajinikanth film, Kaala.

Dhanush produces Kaala on Wunderbar Films, and the official message from the production house is that Kaala won’t be arriving for Pongal. The movie still has some shoot left, and then there would be elaborate post-production work following the completion. Keeping those tasks in mind, it would be impossible for Kaala to make it for Sankranthi 2018 or even Republic Day that many speculated. And with that, the confusion regarding Superstar’s next movies comes to an end.
The buzz in the industry is that Kaala will arrive either on Eid or for Independence Day 2018. Pa Ranjith director of Kabali is behind Kaala as well. Superstar will once again be donning the role of a gangster in the movie.
