Four International Schools by AP government!

Four International Schools in Andhra pradeshAndhra Pradesh government is in the process of setting up international schools in the truncated state to improve the quality of education. The government is planning to attract well known institutions by deploying Public Private Partnership model for the first time in Education sector. The state will be giving free land as its share in the model while the school operations will be taken up by Private Partners.

Four major cities in AP – Vishakapatnam, Tirupati, Nellore and Vijayawada will have these international schools from the next academic year. The government is already scouting for a location in Vishakapatnam and currently zeroed in on 11 possible locations not far from the city. Out of these one will be finalized.

While efforts are on to start classes in Vishakapatnam, Nellore and Tirupati from the next academic year, Vijayawada campus may be delayed until the Singapore team submits the master plan for the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). Presently, AP has only one international school located in Vizag. These schools should have the mandatory accreditation with reputed institutions in Europe or elsewhere. The state will also fix the student-teacher ratio and other facilities for the students
