This week many small-budget movies are gearing up for release this Friday. Out of those movies, the notable one is Manu Charitra starring Raj Kandukuri’s son Shiva Kandukuri. Shiva Kandukuri has previously worked on movies like Chusi Chudangane, Gamanam, and Meet Cute.
The trailer of Manu Charitra evoked some interest, and we will have to see how it will fare at the box office. Megha Akash is the lead in this film, and the film is touted to be on the lines of Arjun Reddy. The film is directed by Bharath Pedagani.
Another film that is making some noise is the psychological thriller Asvins. It is a dubbed version of a Tamil film, and the early reviews are decent for this film in Tamil.
We have another Telangana-based comedy film, Bheemadevarapally Branch, coming up, trying to cash in on the success of such films in recent times.
Apart from these releases, this weekend offers a diverse range of films, including Kutra, Ramudu Anukoledu, Maa Avara Zindagi, Karna, Jagrattha Bidda, 1920 (Hindi dubbed), and Bhaari Taaraganam.
The trade is hopeful that Adipurush will pick up again in its second weekend and post decent numbers after crashing big time on the weekdays. Despite its underperformance, Adipurush might again perform better than all the new releases this week.
