People Media Factory’s latest venture, Garividi Lakshmi, brings to life the extraordinary story of a folk legend from Uttarandhra, and promises to strike a chord with every heart that beats for cultural heritage. Directed by Gowri Naidu Jammu and headlined by actress Anandhi in the titular role, the film pays tribute to a woman who transformed Burra Katha from a local artform into a cultural phenomenon. Producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad back this passion project with the same commitment they bring to blockbuster cinema.
The first look presented Anandhi in an earthy avatar. Today’s newly released glimpse takes it further, offering a striking montage of the folk singer’s world, a bustling rural stage, rhythmic beats, and the roar of a crowd that adores her. The teaser captures Lakshmi’s magnetic presence as she commands attention with energy and grace. She performed more than 10,000 shows over 15 years, becoming a household name with her cassettes dominating shelves across Andhra Pradesh in the 1990s.
Charan Arjun’s evocative background score wraps the visuals in a layer of nostalgia and emotional weight, transforming the teaser into more than just a preview, but it’s an experience.
