HBD Prabhas: Time To Justify Pan-India Star Title

Prabhas Birthday Special Article

India’s biggest pan-India star, Prabhas, will always be recognized as the actor who took Telugu cinema to the national stage. He celebrates his birthday today as he turns 44.

Prabhas started his journey in 2002 with “Eeshwar,” and even though it was a modest success, he was hailed as the next star hero.

“Varsham” marked his first major commercial blockbuster, and “Chatrapathi,” directed by SS Rajamouli, solidified his status as a superstar. Movies like “Darling” and “Mr. Perfect” endeared him to family audiences, while “Mirchi” was another milestone in his career. “Baahubali” catapulted him to Pan-Indian stardom, breaking numerous records.

His movies, especially “Baahubali 2,” demonstrated the industry’s ability to gross over 2000 crores and earn over 10 million overseas.

However, post-Baahubali, Prabhas faced huge setbacks. Saaho and Radhe Shyam were outright poor choices whereas Adipurush got huge openings but fizzled out due to religious backlash. It’s been over seven years since he had a successful film, which touched the break-even mark.

Now all eyes are on Prashanth Neel’s Salaar. The film will present him in the macho avatar which his fans adore the most. This is one of his most promising films in recent times and there are heavy expectations from the film.

Then he also has Kalki 2898 AD with Nag Ashwin and an action comedy film with Maruthi. While collaborations with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Sidharth Anand, and Lokesh Kanagaraj are in the pipeline.

Prabhas has been successful in setting up true blue pan-India films with big directors and banners. But for the past few years, there has been a lack of dedication from his side in maintaining good looks or giving solid performance maybe due to some health issues. He hasn’t been able to deliver a satisfying outing for his fans or even the usual moviegoers.

Now it’s time for Prabhas to prove his stardom with the above-mentioned films and validate the fact that he is not just a Baahubali-made star.

However, Prabhas’ fans are eagerly awaiting news about his birthday celebration, hoping for something special. While the anticipation is high, no official announcements have been made yet about teasers or trailers for his upcoming films, especially Salaar.

We wish him loads of luck, health, love, and peace on his birthday. We hope he will keep the flag of Telugu cinema flying high with his films.
