Prabhas had a pan Indian release with Adipurush and it went on a rampant run at the box office in the opening weekend. However, there’s a whole lot of controversy about the film as well.
There are incidents where Adipurush’s posters are being burnt and theaters in heavily Hindu centric areas in northern India have stopped screening the film saying it distorts Hindu mythology of Ramayan. Additionally, cases have been filed to ban the film, including its release on OTT platforms.

But, no one has blamed or implicated Prabhas in any controversies. When a controversy of this magnitude arises, it is typical for a star of his stature to face tremendous pressure with all fingers pointing towards him. Luckily no major issues were raised regarding Prabhas’ portrayal of Rama through his dialogues.
All the blame went to the director Om Raut and the writer Manoj. They’re being lambasted by the public for altering Ramayan.

We will have to wait and see how it will affect director Om Raut, but for Prabhas, this project will be seen as further establishing his stardom in both the north and south.
