Director Jeetu Joseph’s name has been circulating widely even in the Telugu belt of social media pages widely because of the success of ‘Drishyam 2‘ and he is now remaking that same in Telugu with Venkatesh playing the lead role.
Actress turned director Sripriya directed the first part of Drishyam in Telugu and why wasn’t she retained for the sequel, as well? According to the producer of the film, Suresh Babu, director Jeetu Joseph was the first choice to direct the first part of the remake, But, he couldn’t come on to the board because of his prior commitments.
We must agree that Sripriya didn’t let down the makers of the movie and she is an adept hand at direction directing daily soaps in Malayalam, two films each in Tamil and Kannada. Of course ‘Drishyam‘ in Telugu. Nonetheless, it’s the producer’s choice whether to have her on board for the sequel.
Sripriya made an honest remake of ‘Drishyam’ but, Jeetu Joseph will be making some changes to his script as per the requirement for the Telugu version. When the director of the original is available, it’s all the more convenient for the producers, even. What do you think?
