Hyderabad once again proved its mettle in Software Exports. The city has recently crossed other competitors like Chennai and Pune to become the second best Indian city in Software exports while Bangalore sits comfortably at the top. According to the data of 2013-14, Bangalore has 31% exports followed by Hyderabad at 12% and Chennai and Pune at a close 11 and 10% respectively.
If the entire state is considered, Telangana comes 4th in the country in terms of highest software exports as other states like Maharashtra (Pune and Mumbai), Delhi (Delhi and Gurgoan) have the advantage of multiple cities patronaging Information Technology. The state has been registering double-digit growth at over 14% and beyond the national average. Telangana government has also revealed its plans of developing IT in other cities of the states like Warangal and Karimnagar which will push up the position of Telangana in the list.
