The teaser of Itlu Arjuna is out, and it presents a mix of quirky humour, romance, emotion and suspense. Featuring debutant Aniesh in the lead, the film is directed by Mahesh Uppala and is being introduced by What Next Entertainments, founded by filmmaker Venky Kudumula.
Aniesh plays a mute youngster who is constantly trying to convey his thoughts, only to be met with confused reactions from people around him. His biggest wish is connected to Keerthy, the girl he loves. He wants to shake hands with her, see her very closely and even talk to her. The interesting part is that Keerthy understands him when almost everyone else fails to do so. But this romantic angle is soon surrounded by mystery as the police and some goons begin looking for him.
Aniesh makes an impression and handles the unusual role with confidence and energy. The makers have given the protagonist a humorous and endearing personality, which makes his debut performance interesting. Anaswara Rajan also makes her presence felt. Their on-screen chemistry comes through in the teaser.
Mahesh Uppala’s directorial approach appears to be one of the film’s notable aspects. The teaser indicates that he has blended multiple genres while keeping the narrative accessible and entertaining. Raja Mahadehav’s cinematography and S Thaman’s music add energy to the teaser and help establish its varying moods.
