There has been news that filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is contemplating a biopic on his good friend and actor Sanjay Dutt. However, he is not yet ready to make any official announcement regarding the project.
“I personally enjoy biopics, and I like the fact that Hollywood is making biopics on unknown people. It’s great. Biopics are very fascinating, but not too many of them are being made here. I certainly find them fascinating, but I feel it’s too early to announce about Sanjay Dutt’s biopic,” Hirani said.
A convict in the March 1993 Mumbai blasts, Sanjay, who has featured in endearing roles in Hirani’s “Munna Bhai” series, is currently serving the sentence at Yerawada Jail in Pune. According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor has been chosen to play the convicted actor on the big screen.
