Jana Nayagan @ Court: Big Judgement Out!

Jana Nayagan court verdict news

Ideally, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay was expected to arrive on the big screen today, January 9, with his latest film Jana Nayagan. However, the film was postponed at the last minute due to a delay in censor certification.

Following the unexpected postponement, the makers of the social action film approached the Madras High Court seeking immediate intervention in the matter.

During the hearing, the Madras High Court stated that there was no valid reason to withhold the censor certification. The court instructed the censor board to immediately grant the U/A certificate that had been issued earlier.

The court further observed that there was no justification for revoking the U/A certificate initially granted to the film. It questioned the decision to later refer the film to a review committee without sufficient cause.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s fans have alleged political interference in the censoring process. They claim the ruling government is deliberately creating hurdles for the Vijay film.

With this development, the Madras High Court has delivered a crucial judgement by directing the immediate clearance of all censor formalities for the Thalapathy film.

It remains to be seen whether this order will help Jana Nayagan secure a timely release. The makers may still be aiming for a Sankranthi release within the coming week.
