Vyjayanthi Movies, the producers of Kalki 2898 AD, have issued an official warning about fake casting calls being circulated in the name of their production house. The makers clarified that they have not authorized any third-party agency, company, individual, or casting representative to conduct auditions or casting on their behalf.
They have also asked people not to share personal information or audition material, and not to make any payments to anyone claiming to represent Vyjayanthi Movies. The production house has warned that legal action could be taken against anyone misusing or falsely representing its name.
The makers have advised people to depend only on Vyjayanthi Movies’ official social media handles for genuine casting and other updates.
Kalki 2898 AD gave Prabhas a huge pan-India comeback after a string of disasters like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush, creating huge expectations for the sequel. However, Kalki 2 still appears to be in its early stages. According to the latest update, director Nag Ashwin has reportedly shot only around 10 days so far, while Prabhas has not yet joined the shoot.
Prabhas is currently committed to Fauzi and Spirit, with Salaar 2 also potentially in the lineup. This leaves limited time for Kalki 2, which requires large-scale shooting, massive sets, and extensive VFX work.
The makers are reportedly focusing on proper pre-production instead of rushing the film for an early release. Because of this, Kalki 2 could arrive only in the second half of 2028 or even early 2029.
For now, fans should be careful about fake casting offers. Any genuine announcement from the Kalki 2 team will come through official channels.
