The pre-release event for Kalki 2898 AD in Mumbai was eagerly anticipated as a star-studded affair, marking a major milestone with the entire cast coming together for the first time to promote the film.

However, it felt more like an indoor press meet than a grand pre-release event, which was surprising. The absence of director Nag Ashwin raised questions about whether he was still tied up with post-production or if there was another reason.

In contrast, pre-release events in the South are managed with much more professionalism. Whether it’s the arrangements or the technical aspects, event managers in Telugu states handle even large crowds with efficiency, showcasing a level of competence that was sorely lacking at this event in Mumbai.
