KILL Remake: Potharu Moththam Potharu

The Bollywood movie Kill, despite not being a blockbuster in the conventional sense, has certainly made a significant name for itself due to its phenomenal action sequences, simple yet effective storyline, and a well-written script. It is highly praised by critics and audiences alike, making a name for itself pan-India and across the world.

So when news starts circulating that a new remake of the film is in the works, it is only natural that it grabs everyone’s attention. It has been in the news recently that a Tamil and Telugu remake of the movie, named RL25, is underway.

The movie is said to star Raghava Lawrence in the lead role and is suspected to be his 25th movie. It will be directed by Ramesh Varma, a well-known director in the Telugu Film Industry, and widely known for his movie Khiladi. Koneru Satya Narayana, a renowned name in production, with many successful titles in his bag, is said to produce it.

Ever since the release of the news, it has garnered mixed reactions from the public. While some are excited and pumped up for the movie, many have already projected that this movie will be a disaster. Lawrence is widely considered a mass entertainer by the public, and that might be the reason the public is sceptical about him being the lead actor in the movie.

The director Ramesh Varma is known for directing mass cinema. Most of his films till now have been flops, and he is widely considered by the public to be an outdated director, thus raising a big question mark on his ability to direct a sophisticated, hard-hitting, powerful and adrenaline-pumping movie like Kill.

While these are the opinions of the public, it would be too soon to jump to any conclusions as of now. The success or the failure of the film can only be conclusively decided once it comes out into the cinemas in the future.
