The career trajectory of Koratala Siva changed drastically after Acharya. The film’s failure impacted his standing in Telugu cinema and altered how the industry viewed him. He went from being a highly sought-after director to one facing visible hesitation from stars.
At present, no major star hero appears keen to work with Siva. The only exception seems to be Junior NTR*, which has become a talking point in industry circles. This lack of interest itself has raised concerns about Siva’s current position.
After RRR, NTR delivered Devara as his next release with Koratala Siva. While the film was not seen as spectacular cinema, it was considered a reasonable commercial output.
Despite Devara performing well at the ticket counters, the momentum did not help Siva secure new projects. No other star hero showed strong interest in collaborating with him, and no significant announcements followed.
This has led to the belief that NTR is currently the only hero placing full trust in Siva. Reports of Devara 2 moving back on track have strengthened that perception. Beyond this, there has been little discussion around Siva’s future projects.
