Krithi Shetty, who once showed tremendous promise in Telugu cinema with her breakout debut in Uppena, has been noticeably absent from the limelight in recent times.
Despite early praise for her cute looks, natural screen presence and decent talent—qualities rarely seen in Mumbai-based actresses working in the South—she struggled to sustain her momentum after a few consecutive flops.
Over the past year, Krithi shifted her focus to Tamil cinema in an attempt to rebuild her career. She is currently part of two Kollywood films: Love Insurance Company (LIC) and Jenny.
Of the two, LIC has managed to create some buzz, thanks to lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan, director Vignesh Shivan, and the added brand value of Nayanthara’s production house.
The film is expected to release later this year, and fans see it as a potential comeback opportunity for Krithi.
However, new reports suggest that Krithi has now relocated to Mumbai. Until recently, she had been living in Chennai with her father while working on her Tamil projects.
But with limited success in Kollywood, the move to Mumbai has sparked speculation about her next career move.
Many believe she may be aiming for a fresh start in Bollywood. Interestingly, her first appearance on screen was in the Hindi film Super 30 alongside Hrithik Roshan, though it didn’t lead to further opportunities in the Hindi film industry at the time.
Her return to Mumbai could signal a renewed effort to explore Bollywood, possibly leveraging her pan-Indian recognition.
Whether this shift marks a strategic comeback or a career reboot remains to be seen—but one thing is clear: Krithi Shetty is still in the game and appears determined to find her footing again.
