Well, it does sound unfair to label Kriti Sanon as a flop actress, but of late her films are having a dismal run at the box office. A few years ago she was delivering hits like Luka Chhupi and Bareilly Ki Barfi. She became an actress in reckoning in Bollywood.
Post her heroine-centric film Mimi, which was highly acclaimed, Kriti has had to see failures.
Last year, Bachchan Pandey opposite Akshay Kumar ended up being a huge disaster. Then there was Bhediya with Varun Dhawan which was another flop. Her latest release, Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan, a Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo, also has turned out to be a big disaster with first weekend collections looking to be around Rs. 20 crores.
The film has failed to impress Bollywood viewers as they missed the swag and style of Allu Arjun. Kriti Sanon was one of the plus points of the film and she generously displayed her glamor, but still, it adds another flop to her kitty.
A few years back, fans were very happy when the hot-n-happening Kriti was cast opposite Prabhas in Adipurush. But looking at the kind of flops Kriti has delivered recently, Prabhas’ fans are in panic mode. They are worried that Kriti might turn out to be an iron leg for Prabhas!
After the teaser received a lot of backlash, the Adipurush makers are trying their best to rectify their mistakes and deliver a film that will reach the expectations of the audience and fans. The film is scheduled to release on 16th June 2023.
