We are nearing the end of the Festive season. We just have two more days of the weekend holidays for the festive releases and we will no longer have the holiday advantage. Let us see where the films stand in terms of their Box office performance.
Krack is the Sankranthi Winner unarguably. The movie is going strong right from the day and is already heading towards Blockbuster status. The team will repent for many days about losing that first-day advantage due to delayed-release.
Master despite dubbing film and not so good talk held well in the festive season. All the distributors are safe already. The movie’s run most likely will not continue beyond the weekend as things stand today. But given the talk, the result is still super good.
Ram’s Red may not be a genre that is suitable for a festival release. Moreover, the talk is disappointing as well. The movie is deriving better advantage from the festive season when compared to its talk. But then, it has a long way to go to be called a safe project or Hit project. It will depend on how it sustains after Sunday but not easy given the conditions.
Bellamkonda’s Alludu Adhurs is the only disappointment this season. The movie is already struggling in the festive season. It is the last preference of the audience and is surviving on the returns of other films.
Coming to the overall perspective, it is time for better sense to prevail and give some more screens to Krack. It is the only way to better the revenues of Master as well as Krack. If both sides continue to exhibit ego, in the end, everyone will lose the festive revenue. All in all, this is a good start for 2021 and also to the industry after that ten months shutdown.
