The forthcoming MAA elections in Telugu Film Industry have taken a new twist lately. Two of the panel members from Rajendra Prasad group withdrew from the contest diluting the panel of RP. Actor Shivaji Raja who was in the panel for Chief Secretary post and actor Uthej, who was in RP’s panel for joint secretary withdrew their candidature from the MAA elecions and announced the same officially.
Withdrawal of two of Rajendra Prasad panel members is seen as a major twist and set back to the group. After yesterday’s Jayasudha Press Meet and MP Murali Mohan’s comments on inability of Rajendra Prasad to come up with a full panel, two withdrawals from the inconsistent panel may work in favour of Jayasudha’s group.
The equations seems to be changing. This time, it has become more like a political arena than a film association elections. As the D-day is nearing, there is every possibility of new twists and strategies from both the groups.
