The Telugu box office has witnessed a new film this weekend in the form of Maa Inti Bangaram which has Samantha in the lead role and it released in theatres today, June 19.
Not many great things were expected of this film in the first place, and there was very little anticipation leading into the release as well. However, the promising start has come up as a surprisingly good one.
Samantha is a significant name in the Telugu states, and she can bring the audience to theatres in significant numbers as well. This is on display in the case of this film.
According to the BookMyShow hourly booking trend, it is being established that this film is selling in the vicinity of more than 8000 tickets for which is a surprisingly good number.
A handful of moderate range, Telugu film films were also not able to pull this kind of numbers, but it is interesting to see Samantha make it happen for this film now. She clearly has the backing of the Telugu audience, and that is very much clear here.
But the big question is whether the film would be actually able to hold the momentum over the weekend and actually generate significant enough revenues which matter the most.
