The forthcoming Sankranthi season is already an eventful one with two heavyweights Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya clashing at the box office. Now the discussion is about February, which is set to witness too much action, but very little anticipation.
Several small and mid-range films like Baby, Sir(Dhanush’s Vaathi), Dhamki, Amigos, Anni Manchi Sakunamule, Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, and others are lined up for release in February.
That’s not all. A few films that were supposed to release this December have been pushed to February 2023. So, there will be at least 5-6 new additions to the list of films releasing in the month.
Of all the currently announced releases, Sir might make some noise due to Dhanush’s presence and if Vishwak‘s aggressive antics work out, Dhamki might get some attention. It will be tough for the rest to create good momentum, unless they come with a very impressive trailer.
2023 will get off to a solid start with Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya marking the clash between two senior mass heroes. But for February releases, the road is going to be tough as they face the biggest challenge of pulling the audience to theaters in big numbers in this seemingly dry run.
