Sumanth-starrer Mahendragiri Varahi is set to release on September 11. The film also features Aishwarya Rajesh in a prominent role, with Siddhu Jonnalagadda in a cameo. It has completed censor certification with a U/A certificate, and Sumanth interacted with the media about the film.
Talking about the story, Sumanth said that while the core plot may remind some viewers of Murari, the film is otherwise different. He said he plays a YouTuber who investigates the existence of God and superstitions. Sumanth added that the narrative is rooted in Hindu mythology and the Vedas.
Speaking about Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s cameo, Sumanth said the actor plays a serious and intense character that is different from his usual roles. He added that their combination scenes have come out well and are expected to contribute to the film.
Sumanth also appreciated director Santhossh Jagarlapudi for writing the story and screenplay. He said the producers, Madhu and Laxman, have invested significantly in the film and that the VFX work has received considerable attention. He expressed hope that audiences will enjoy the film in theatres from September 11.
