These days Malayalam film industry is becoming the hottest spot to look for remakes in Telugu. It is not that it wasn’t the way before, but now it is even more as the Malayalam film industry is coming with some highly acclaimed universally acceptable films.

First it was Drishyam and following it we have an ongoing Bangalore Days remake. Right now there is a new sensation in Malayalam film industry which has become the talk of the town. The film in question is Premam starring Navin Pauly. The actor also incidentally played an important role in Bangalore Days.
Premam is rocking the box office ever since its release and it’s not just relegated to Kerala. The response has been same all over. To give an example of the response, a Telugu distributor had grabbed the US rights of the film and released it last week to fabulous response. One can imagine now how much competition would be there to grab the remake rights.
