Director Ajay Bhupathi of ‘RX 100’ fame is coming with ‘Mangalavaaram’ on November 17 in theatres. The film’s trailer was out today.
A cool thing about the promotional material of the thriller drama is that each of them has served a different purpose. The songs ‘Ganagana Mogalira’ and ‘Emmayindho Emito’, respectively, evoked feelings of fervour and sensuality. A poster in which Payal Rajput was seen in a topless pose evoked a sense of boldness. The teaser gave a vibe of suspense. And now, the trailer is suspenseful and a little complex.
The director is not relying on star power but the power of his story-telling this time. Twists, chilling violence, and a shocking climax should be a bonus. If the film indeed has a strong plot as has been suggested by its makers, the trailer could be seen as a clever cut.
Cinematographer Dasaradhi Sivendra and Ajaneesh Loknath of ‘Kantara’ fame have prominently carved the technical aspects. Fight masters ‘Real’ Satish and Prithvi have worked on the action thriller. Ajay Bhupathi is also producing it on A Creative Works in company with Swathi Gunupati and Suresh Varma M of Mudhra Media Works. A Pan-Indian release is expected.
