From when Ramayana teaser was out comparisons between Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Adipurush continue to dominate social media. Writer Manoj Muntashir, who faced heavy criticism following the release of Adipurush opened up on comparisons and urged audiences not to compare the two films.
Acknowledging the disappointing reception of Adipurush, Manoj admitted that the film failed to live up to expectations despite the team’s sincere efforts. He said “It is better not to compare Ramayana with Adipurush. There should be no shame in admitting that Adipurush couldn’t meet the expectations. Everyone associated with the film put in a lot of effort, but it was a failed attempt.”
Despite the criticism Adipurush received, Manoj expressed hope that Ramayana would emerge as a grand success. He said he hopes the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer becomes a massive success and earns the love of audiences across the country.
The writer also reserved special praise for Yash, who will be seen as Ravana in Ramayana. Calling him a powerhouse performer. According to Manoj, Yash’s casting is one of the biggest strengths of Ramayana, and he is eager to see the actor’s interpretation of the iconic antagonist on the big screen.
