When the makers gave the footage to a private digital company for sending the digital prints abroad for overseas releases, an employee from that firm leaked several scenes from “master’ a day before the film hit the theatres.
So, the producers of the film decided to sue the company and also the employee who leaked the footage for Rs. 25 crores as compensation. So, a legal notice was henceforth sent to the digital firm and the miscreant.
Talking about the movie’s performance, the theatrical experience starved audiences in Tamil Nadu embraced the movie big time and made it a super hit film and also Telugu audiences gave decent collections for Telugu dubbed ‘Master’.
