Megastar Chiranjeevi has joined hands with director Bobby for an untitled upcoming entertainer tentatively titled Mega 158. The film, which marks their reunion after the blockbuster Waltair Veerayya, is progressing at a brisk pace. The team is said to be working on a major action schedule in Hyderabad, with Bobby Kolli mounting the sequences on a grand scale.
As per the latest buzz, makers approached Meenakshi Chaudhary for this project however, not for the female lead role. The actress was approached for an extended cameo role that takes shape in the second half of the film, adding a crucial turning point to the narrative.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is said to be sporting a completely new look for the flashback portion that comes in the second half. Interestingly, the flashback reportedly has a mafia backdrop, with Chiranjeevi’s character taking on a completely different shade.
Mega 158 is being produced by Venkat K Narayana under the KVN Productions banner. Thaman is composing the music, while Vijay Karthik Kannan is handling the cinematography.
