Mega158: Bobby Revives Chiranjeevi’s 35-Year-Old Combo?

Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli reunite for Mega158

After the blockbuster success of Waltair Veerayya, Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli are teaming up once again for Chiranjeevi’s 158th film. The project is currently in the pre-production stage, and interesting updates are slowly emerging.

According to the latest buzz, veteran actor Sarath Kumar has come on board for a key role in the film. If confirmed, this will mark his third collaboration with Chiranjeevi after Gang Leader (1991) and StuartPuram Police Station (1991). While Gang Leader went on to become a blockbuster, StuartPuram Police Station was a box office disaster. It remains to be seen what kind of result this combination delivers this time after 35 years.

Reports also suggest that Bobby has designed another important character with negative shades. The actor for this role is yet to be finalized, but the character is expected to play a crucial role in the story.

Another interesting update is about Chiranjeevi’s look. The Megastar is reportedly set to appear in a completely new avatar during an extended flashback episode in the second half. Sources say the film features multiple shades of Chiranjeevi’s character, giving him plenty of scope to showcase different variations.

Unlike Waltair Veerayya, which leaned heavily on mass entertainment, this film is said to place greater emphasis on family emotions while still delivering the commercial elements fans expect. Bobby has reportedly written the story with the intention of presenting Chiranjeevi in a fresh way rather than repeating familiar templates.

The film is being produced on a lavish scale by KVN Productions.

Since Waltair Veerayya turned out to be one of Chiranjeevi’s biggest recent successes, expectations for this reunion are naturally high. Fans will now be hoping that Bobby can recreate the magic once again with a fresh story and a new version of the Megastar.
