Fan wars are a part and parcel of Telugu cinema. However, mega fans often split into groups while arguing about their own group of heroes. Now, there’s a mega Vs Pawan Kalyan clash on Twitter that is catching the attention.
In his latest public interaction, Pawan stated “No one gave me stardom. Step by step, I earned my stardom. I am whatever I am today because of my work.”
This drew a negative response from a section of mega fans. A few mega fans argue “Who is Pawan Kalyan without Chiranjeevi? Without Chiru, he wouldn’t have even had the base to get the stardom that he is claiming today”.
Pawan’s fans are in turn pointing out that their hero’s hardwork is what made him a superstar and today, he has a bigger stardom than that of Chiranjeevi’s.
The strange thing here is to see mega fans quarrelling amongst themselves. Be it politics or movies, a fandom is supposed to defend their personality against the other group but not fight amongst themselves and leave gaps for others to capitalise on.
Moreover, Pawan’s comment was a very simple one. If we look at it from a neutral standpoint, we can see that his intention is to only showcase that he put in the work to become a superstar and not to belittle Chiranjeevi. It is strange to see fans miss this simple logic and to quarrel amongst themselves.
