Happening Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is the most sought after director in Tamil cinema. But the thing is that most of his films have a single theme and it revolves around drug trafficking. Now, this has resulted in a court case filed against him.
A man named Raja Murugan, a Madurai native filed a court case against Lokesh Kanagaraj, demanding a psychological evaluation of Lokesh’s mental condition.
The complaint is that Lokesh propagates usage of violence, attacks on women, and provoking anti social behaviour through his films. The petitioner added that Lokesh’s fascination with usage of firearms, drugs, and other anti social elements needs to be assessed. The scenes in Leo have been cited as examples of the same.
The case has been filed at Madurai Bench of the High Court and it further investigation is pending for now.
This really is a shocking and unexpected case filed against Lokesh and if the court does decide to proceed with it, Lokesh will indeed have to go through a psychological evaluation. His single-tone approach for films has backfired in the most unexpected way for him, we must say.
