Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just assets worth 1.26 Crore while our own Venkaiah Naidu has the least assets among Modi’s Minister with assets worth 20.45 Lakhs. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is the richest Minister in the council of Ministers with assets totaling Rs 72.10 crore.The details of assets and liabilities of the Union Council of Ministers uploaded on the PMO website on Monday.
Modi’s assets include Rs 38,700 in cash, bank balance and deposits worth Rs 1,32,698 and Rs 17,00,927 respectively, Rs 20,000 in bonds, Rs 2,35,000 in NSC, Rs 1,99,031 in insurance policies and jewelry and precious items worth Rs 1,20,980. The Prime Minister also owns a house in Gandhinagar worth Rs 1 crore. Interestingly Modi does not give the information of the assets of his spouse Jashodaben. He just mentioned ‘unknown’ in the column. It is known that Modi and Jashodaben are living separately after they were married in childhood. Modi later joined RSS and worked as a pracharak. Being Single was the practice in RSS for its pracharakas.
