Andhra Pradesh High Court today directed film actors Mohan Babu and Brahmanandham to give back their Padma Sri awards in a weeks time. This is regarding to a case filed by BJP leader, Indra Sena Reddy. In the complaint, Mr.Reddy alleged that the actors misused the Padma Sri titles given to them by keeping them infront of their names in Denikaina Ready movie credits.
The lawyers of both the actors defended that they did not misuse the titles. However, the court agreed to Indra Sena Reddy’s lawyer who made it clear that they acted against the directions of Supreme Court in this issue. We will have to see if they are going to return their awards or appeal in Supreme Court. It is known that Mohan Babu was given Padma Sri in 2007 while Brahmi got it in 2009.
