Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is seen normally in a light beard kind of rugged look and most of his recent films had the same look without any variation. However, the superstar had got rid of the older look.

He posted a working still of his next movie ‘1971: Beyond Borders’ in which the superstar’s new look is striking and hence one notices the change instantly. He is seen in a clean shave and a neat look as he was going to play the character of an army official Maor Mahadevan.
This is the fourth movie in the Major Mahadevan series for Mohanlal. It is being directed by Major Ravi and produced by Haneef Mohammad. After two recent straight films in Telugu recently, even this film of Mohanlal will come to Telugu, but not as a straight movie, though. Mohanlal is playing dual roles in this movie as both father and son who are army officers.
