Actress Shweta Tripathi, known for her role as Gajgamini Gupta (Golu) in the popular series Mirzapur, is facing relentless trolling on social media after the premiere of Mirzapur season 3, with many labeling her performance as the weakest link in the series.

Mirzapur Season 3 has received a negative response, especially for the way Golu’s character has been designed. She is being trolled incessantly on social media for her performance. Responding to the backlash, Shweta Tripathi expressed her belief that hate is often rushed. “I think people jump to hate too quickly,” she said. “However, those around me are enjoying Mirzapur for its depth and intricate storytelling. As creators, we did our best, and now it’s up to the audience.”

Regarding the viewing experience of Season 3, Shweta suggested it’s meant to be savored slowly, not binged. “This season isn’t for binge-watching,” she explained. “There’s a lot of emotional depth. Each episode is heavy, and your mindset affects how you perceive it. We’ve put in hard work and love.”

Discussing audience expectations and feedback, Shweta emphasized that Mirzapur isn’t solely about action and violence but also explores relationships and mental health. “People miss the ‘bhaukal (craziness)’, but Mirzapur delves into deeper themes,” she said. “We hope viewers will appreciate these aspects over time.”

As for future seasons, Shweta revealed that discussions about Season 4 are already underway.
