Nag Ashwin is producing legendary director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s dream project, Sing Geetham. Ayaan, Ahilya and Shalini Kondepudi are playing leading roles in this musical fantasy that talks about Kuberapuram and its gold mines. Nag Ashwin talking to press stated that they started the film as a tribute to Singeetham but post completing and watching it, he genuinely feels, “There is no other film in World Cinema not just Indian Cinema like Sing Geetham.”
He shared that he worked as an assistant director to the legend in bringing this film to life and not as a producer. He stated that he is blessed to have worked 2 years with him and they did nine months extensive script writing and rehearsals with actors to make director’s vision, a reality, on screen. Nag Ashwin explained that the core story is filled with exciting elements and genuine human emotions, perfectly balanced with engaging humor.
The most remarkable revelation about the project is its format. Every spoken line in the movie is creatively designed as a song. With Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad at the musical helm, the continuous flow of tunes naturally drives the story forward. Nag Ashwin confidently stated that this challenging experiment has resulted in an effortlessly entertaining experience unlike anything seen in world cinema.
Nag Ashwin admired Singeetham’s endless spontaneity and brilliant international vision on sets. He stated that they believe in storytelling and not commercial aspects but this film is highly enjoyable. As they prepare for the release on 11th June, Nag Ashwin revealed that audiences will be mesmerised by the entire unique concept and enjoyable humor without any second thought.
