Nagabandham Doesn’t Use The Real Temple's Identity

Director Abhishek Nama has every reason to be excited as his ambitious fantasy adventure Nagabandham prepares for its worldwide release tomorrow. Featuring Virat Karrna in the lead, the film has already generated nationwide buzz with its visually striking promotional material.

The filmmaker explained that the project began with his fascination for the mystery of the unopened Vault B at the Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Curious about what could possibly lie behind its sealed doors, he imagined a fictional treasure hunt built around that mystery. However, he stressed that the film presents a completely fictional world and does not use the real temple’s identity.

Abhishek said his only focus was telling the best possible story, and once the script was completed, Virat Karrna naturally emerged as the right choice. He felt that introducing a new face would help audiences immerse themselves in the adventure without preconceived expectations.

The director expressed heartfelt gratitude to producers Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy for backing the project without compromise. “Thanks to months of detailed pre-production, they had complete clarity about the film’s scale and visual presentation before principal photography began.”

According to Abhishek, Nagabandham successfully balances mythology-inspired themes with commercial entertainment. “Adventure, action, emotion, fantasy, and family entertainment have all been blended carefully, making it a film that appeals to audiences of every age group.”

He also hinted that the story has enough scope to continue as a franchise, with plans for Nagabandham 2 already being explored.
